About TripSum
TripSum is a travel spending app for iPhone. Scan a receipt or price tag abroad, see it in your home currency, and keep your trip budget current, even offline.
Built by travelers. For travelers.
That moment at a Tokyo register when you can't tell if something costs $5 or $50. The sinking feeling when your bank app shows what you actually spent. The pile of receipts in a language you can't read. We've been those travelers — so we built the app we wished we had.
Who it's for
Backpackers, first-trip travelers, gap-year travelers, digital nomads and friends splitting a trip. Anyone who's stood at a register abroad doing math in their head.
Who it's not for
Companies that need approval workflows or corporate card feeds. TripSum is for personal trips (you can still export a PDF for an expense report). It's iPhone-only for now.
Your receipts stay yours
TripSum is local-first: trips, expenses and receipt photos live on your phone. They only sync to the cloud if you sign in.
How we handle data and refundsWhere we are
